Nike pushes forward with the revival of the iconic Air Max Deluxe as the shoe celebrates 20 years in the game. It was long but forgotten until this anniversary but thanks to the array of colourful styles, this shoe is back where it belongs; at the forefront of today’s street-wear scene.
Following on from this week’s launch of the Air Max Deluxe ‘Blue Multi’, even more colourways go live before the end of the week. given the simplicity of the ‘Black Bronze’ and ‘White Sail’, these could be the most popular yet.
Nike’s follow up to the hugely popular Air Max 97 released in 1999 with an identical midsole to its older brother. but that’s where the similarities end as the Air Max Deluxe sports a neoprene upper. It was one of the first of its kind to feature such a functional material and was an instant hit thanks to that ultra comfortable fit.
Over two decades later and the timeless profile is retained along with that stretchy upper. Unlike many of the styles in 2018, this upcoming duo arrives with a tonal theme.
Hits of bronze add a subtle contrast against that dark upper with an iridescent overlay across the heel. The lighter style boasts a matching white midsole and Air Unit.
