Liam Gallagher’s affinity with the three stripes can be traced back to the earliest days of Oasis, a time when the trefoil logo became synonymous with 90s fashion. Even now, the British rocker is often seen on stage proudly donning an adidas branded parka.
Now, this lifelong passion has inspired an upcoming adidas Spezial. joining adidas, and following on from brother Noel’s exclusive Garwin sneaker from 2017, the legendary musician officially unveils his three stripes collab.

Known as the adidas LG Spezial, Liam could hardly contain his excitement as Spezial director Gary Aspden handed him the shoes.
“I have known Liam for over 20 years and we have always got on. He is one of the people who has worn and supported what we do with adidas Spezial since day one so this collaboration evolved organically,”; says Aspden.

The limited-edition sneaker is heavily influenced by Liam’s own style. The Oasis front-man chose to be hands-on during the entire design process. According to Aspden, there was several changes made by Liam to early samples.
“He liked the silhouette of the Padiham SPZL on the whole but said he wanted it to look neutral and understated. This shoe became foundation for the LG SPZL,” explains Aspden.

The Liam Gallagher x adidas Spezial is scheduled to release on August 30th to coincide with the later arrival of his new album “Why Me? Why Not?” this September.
“Right… here it is my adidas LG SPZL collaboration. absolute honor to have been asked to design and create such a Biblical trainer. hope you like..LG x,” says Gallagher.
